A safe place for a new start

Our school and applications

We are the first place of education for children who are new to the Netherlands 'Newcomers' who don't master the Dutch language well enough to start at a regular school. Our students are between 6 and 12 years old and receive a customized program.

If you would like to register your child(ren) , please send an email by clicking the register button below. You enroll children who are 4-5 years old in a regular elementary school.

Please include the following information in your email: name of your child(ren), date of birth, residential address in the Haarlem region (Overveen, Bloemendaal, Bennebroek, IJmuiden, Velsen Zuid), country of origin and the date your child (ren) arrived in the Netherlands.

Easter - free days

Friday, March 29, and Monday, April 1, students are free in relation to Easter.

Parro

In communicating with parents, we use Parro, a
secure Whatsapp (from Parnassys). Parro is intended for short messages of what is going on in your child's group and for communication between the teacher and the parent(s) of that particular group.

Haarlem Taal advisory center

The Haarlem Taal advisory center is linked to the ITK. The advisory center team has two main tasks:

1. They support regular schools.

2. They take care of the after-care of students who have left the ITK.

In addition to these two main tasks, they have also set up the ITK buddies project. The aim of the project is that every student who has been in the Netherlands for less than 5 years has a good start.
